Dr.ArunKumar S Lecturer, poet, author, public speaker, Lawyer, and yoga master all turned into one.
Dr. Arun Kumar was born on 30th May 1980 at Haripad, Alappuzha, His father is a retired teacher V.N Sivasankara Pillai and his mother late Doctor L Jayasree. He took his MA from Annamalai University and BEd from Teacher Education Centre Kayamkulam. He passed SET for Lecturership. He did MHR at Pondicherry University. He took Ph.D. in Modernism of Tagore with Special Reference to Gitanjali. In addition to this, he has taken a Bachelor of Law from Annamalai University. He is a Second Dan Black Belt in Karate and a Yoga master too. He is a renowned poet and scholar who has made significant contributions to the fields of Malayalam and English poetry. From an early age, Dr. Arun exhibited a passion for writing poetry, and he actively participated in various poetry competitions during his school days, winning several awards for his exceptional talent
Dr. Arun’s poetic journey is characterized by his ability to express emotions and evoke feelings through his verses. His poetry transcends language barriers, as he has gained recognition and acclaim in both Malayalam and English. Dr. Arun embarked on his career as a high school teacher in 2002, nurturing young minds and imparting knowledge in the classroom. His passion for education and literature led him to explore a path in academia, and in 2009, he joined as an English lecturer in a vocational higher secondary Department.
Alongside his teaching career, Dr. Arun pursued his creative endeavors as a poet. His first published work, “Sudarshanam,” comprised a collection of Malayalam poems. This debut publication showcased his poetic power and gathered the attention of literary enthusiasts. Encouraged by the positive response, he continued to write and publish his works
His second book, titled “Good Vision,” further showcased his mastery of language and his ability to convey profound emotions through his verses. Dr. Arun’s poetry resonated with readers, capturing their hearts and earning him a dedicated following.
In addition to his written works, Dr. Arun also explored other mediums to express his poetic career. Atmayanathinte Kavitha an audio CD was produced in 2022. His latest work is Truth Goodness and Beauty Behind Love. His books are available on Amazon and Flipkart. In addition to printed copies, his latest book is available as ebook allowing readers worldwide to access and appreciate it.
Arun had a wide array of achievements. During the annual function of Haripad Ramakrishnan Trust on the name of the famous Kathakali artist of Kerala, he was honoured by the MLA Haripad Mr.Ramesh Chennithala, former Home Minister of Kerala. He also received the Kalasahiti Award for young poets in 2019. He use to give free legal advice to the poor and needy. He gives wholehearted support to young and budding writers. He played a vital role as a state committee member of Sreshta Bhasha Malayalam, a district committee member of Uvakalasahiti, President of Uvakalasahiti Haripad Mandalam, and Chairman of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship Haripad. Even digitally, he has made an appearance as a member and administrator of more than 15 social and literary organizations. Every day, he responds to the literary community and meddles with urgent societal concerns.
